Bringing Choice, Delight, and Impact to Holiday Gifting
About the Client
McLennan Ross LLP is a leading Canadian law firm with more than 115 lawyers across offices in Edmonton, Calgary, and Yellowknife. Named 2023’s Regional Law Firm of the Year by Chambers Canada, they’re known for their deep expertise in labour and employment, litigation, and corporate commercial law. Their values-driven approach extends beyond the boardroom, and this past holiday season, that included giving their clients the chance to choose a gift experience that was thoughtful, personal, and purpose-driven.
The Ask
McLennan Ross wanted to give clients a choice in their holiday gift without giving everything away. They also needed to include personalized messages from the partners who worked with each client and collect accurate shipping info with as little friction as possible.
Our Approach
We built a custom address collection flow that let each recipient choose between two curated gift themes, without seeing exactly what was inside. This kept the surprise intact while giving clients a sense of ownership in the experience. On the same page, recipients entered their current address details, ensuring gifts arrived smoothly and on time.
The Gift Options
Each gift was carefully curated to bring moments of joy, warmth, and connection. McLennan Ross offered four unique experiences, thoughtfully packaged in custom branded boxes:

In the spirit of the season, McLennan Ross made a donation to local food banks for every gift sent. Thanks to their generosity, 172 meals were donated to the Calgary Food Bank, 179 to the Edmonton Food Bank, and 79 to the Yellowknife Food Bank.
With the help of our tech-enabled tools and curated gift options, McLennan Ross delivered a seamless, elevated gifting experience that felt warm and intentional. Clients got to choose, partners got to personalize, and the entire process ran smoothly from start to finish. Best of all, every gift gave back.
