Home Depot Canada

Home Depot Canada simultaneously sells home improvement products and fights against youth homelessness through the Home Depot Canada Foundation. Through grants, fundraising, and a volunteer program called Team Depot, the Home Depot Canada Foundation has been able to help homeless young adults. Since 2013, The Home Depot Canada Foundation has supported more than 850 community partners across the country, investing more than $50 million towards preventing and ending youth homelessness. Their foundation has made a big impact in the battle against youth homelessness, including increasing its investment to prevent and end youth homelessness to $125 million by 2030

Local Laundry 

Local laundry is a Canadian clothing store that sells Canadian made apparel. When you purchase an item from Local Laundry, you are also supporting a good cause since the Canadian company gives 10% of their profits to local charities. So far, they have donated over 175 thousand dollars. They are on a mission to donate $1,000,000 to local charities by 2030. 


Tentree is a company that offers a range of outdoor apparel and accessories that are made ethically and from sustainable materials. The Canadian company also helps preserve the environment by planting 10 trees for each Tentree product that is purchased. They have planted over 93 million trees and plan on planting 1 billion trees by 2030. 

Peace Collective

This Canadian apparel company sells stylish Canadian made clothes for women, men and children. By donating a portion of their sales, they support mental health, refugee aid and food insecurity. To date, that have donated over $420 000, and have set out to raise $1,000,000 for the causes their community is passionate about by 2030.


Shopify is an e-commerce company that helps businesses create online stores and sell their products. The company has a strong commitment to social responsibility and sustainability. In 2019, they launched a sustainability fund to support renewable energy and carbon sequestration projects. Since 2020, Shopify has committed $32 million to 22 companies across nine different verticals, from ocean-based removal to direct air capture to soil carbon storage.

Other Life Lessons

Other Life Lessons is an award-winning Canadian company that creates books for children. These books help parents talk to their children about different topics while also supporting mental health programs for children. Specifically, when a book is ordered from their website, a part of the profits are donated to the Child Development Institute.

Province of Canada

Comfy hoodies, sweatpants, and socks are just a few of the Canadian made items sold by Province of Canada. Aside from having launched their stylish collections like the Club Canada collection, Province of Canada has also launched a 1 For 1 Sock Program. In the 1 For 1 Sock Program, they will donate a pair to a Canadian homeless shelter when you purchase a pair of socks from Province of Canada. They have donated over 20,000 pairs of socks since 2018. 

Good Food for Good

Good Food for Good sells a variety of sauces that have many selling points including being organic, Whole30 approved and having no added sugar. Another selling point is that they have a buy one feed one program where for each sauce sold, a meal is donated to a food bank. The Good Food for Good company has donated over 1,000,000 meals so far. If that is not enough, buying their stylish tote bag helps feed twenty people. 

Cuddle + Kind

From flamingos to unicorns, Cuddle + Kind sells adorable hand-knit dolls. Not only are the dolls fair trade, they also fight against childhood hunger, with each purchase providing ten meals to children in need. The purchases from Cuddle + Kind, as of September 2015, have given over 23 million meals to children in need across 64 different countries.

Cheekbone Beauty

Cheekbone Beauty offers a variety of makeup products including liquid lipstick, eyebrow gel and lip gloss. The Canadian cosmetic company offers cruelty-free and paraben-free makeup products while helping the First Nations Child & Family Caring Society by donating 10% of their profits to Shannen’s Dream.
